The Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences at Hasselt University provides an academic bachelors and masters programme in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy. As an interdisciplinary and translational oriented faculty with a close link to local and international clinical partners, UHasselt’s Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences has a strong expertise in the domain of rehabilitation of internal diseases (amongst other domains). At the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences (UHasselt), the REVAL Rehabilitation Research group conducts interdisciplinary and translational research within three domains (related to the PROMINENCE project), each studying various aspects related to obesity: clinical care paths and rehabilitation guidelines; health promotion and exercise; and cell and organ physiology. By combining different experts in the field (physiotherapy, movement sciences, medicine, biomedical sciences and psychology), UHasselt physiotherapy students are well trained using multidisciplinary and evidence-based approaches and in-house developed, digitalised (blended) courses, while aspiring high-quality and competency driven education.
